Upload Cletus Mobiles to Namecheap

This package runs your storefront, admin dashboard and customer records on your own hosting. It includes all product photos and PDF receipt assets. There is no build command, database account or extra software package to install.

1. Create the application

Open Namecheap cPanel → Setup Node.js App → Create Application. Use these settings:

SettingValue
Node.js version22.x or 24.x
Application modeProduction
Application rootcletus-app (in your account home, outside public_html)
Application URLcletusmobiles.store, with no extra URL path
Application startup fileserver.js

Keep any existing website backed up before replacing it. If your hosting uses EasyWP rather than cPanel, this package needs Namecheap shared hosting or a VPS instead.

2. Upload and extract

  1. Open cPanel → File Manager and go to your account home, one level above public_html.
  2. Upload Cletus-Mobiles-Namecheap.zip here and choose Extract. The package contains the cletus-app folder, matching your application root. Make sure server.js is directly inside that folder, not inside a second nested folder.
  3. Go back to Setup Node.js App and choose Restart for Cletus Mobiles. The included package has no dependencies; “Run NPM Install” is optional.

3. Activate your admin account

Make sure your domain points to this Namecheap hosting account and HTTPS is enabled in cPanel. In cPanel → Domains, enable Force HTTPS Redirect for the domain once its SSL certificate is active. Open https://cletusmobiles.store/setup. Enter this installation code and choose a new admin password:

3dc5029d3b632747eb59faf9

The setup screen locks after installation. Manage the store at https://cletusmobiles.store/admin. You do not need the password from the previous preview.

4. Connect receipt email

PDF downloads work immediately. For receipt email, open Admin → Email Settings. Verify cletusmobiles.store in Resend, add the DNS records it provides, and save your API key and verified sender (for example receipts@cletusmobiles.store). Set a reply-to address that reaches your shop. Send a test to your own inbox, then check the inbox and delivery status before sending customer receipts.

Email is not pre-connected: the package contains no email credentials, and live delivery has not been verified on your hosting.

What is included

Keep your records safe

Your data is saved in cletus-app-private-data beside the application folder, outside public_html. Back up both folders using your hosting backup tools. Never move the private data folder into public_html or delete it when uploading updates. This first installation starts with the supplied catalogue and no customer records; it does not copy live records from the old preview.

The admin password is stored as a salted hash, and the email API key is encrypted. To reset a forgotten password, follow TECHNICAL-NOTES.txt. Keep this ZIP private because it contains the one-time installation code.

If the page does not open

Check that the domain is selected as the application URL, that Node.js 22 or 24 is selected, that the startup file is server.js, and that there is no nested application folder. Then restart the application. For a 503 error, read the application log in cPanel. If your cPanel has no “Setup Node.js App”, ask Namecheap support to confirm your plan supports it.
